Andrew Whyte has extensive work experience in governance and regulatory roles. Andrew started their career at the Electoral Commission in 2013, where they served as a Guidance Adviser and later as a Senior Adviser. In these roles, they provided advice and guidance to external stakeholders on regulatory issues, developed written guidance on funding and spending rules, and made recommendations on statutory decisions. In 2017, Andrew joined the Labour Party as the Head of External Governance and later became the Director of Governance and Legal. In these positions, they contributed to the party's governance and legal matters.
Andrew Whyte attended the University of Warwick from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
