Matteo Taiana, PhD, is a Senior Robotics Engineer at Lab0 since October 2023, bringing extensive expertise in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Geometry. Prior to this role, Matteo was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia from March 2020 to September 2023, focusing on Geometrical Computer Vision within the EU-funded MEMEX project. Matteo's experience includes serving as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer for Autonomous Driving at Hyundai MOBIS, where innovative algorithms were developed and implemented for embedded platforms, and as an Algorithm Engineer at Continental Corporation - ASL Vision, where responsibilities included designing and implementing Computer Vision solutions for the automotive sector. Matteo holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from ISR/IST Lisbon, with a distinguished thesis on Pedestrian Detectors, and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
