Peter Wynkoop has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Peter began their career as a Category Analyst at Raley's, where they compiled and analyzed research data for category development. Peter then moved on to become an Associate Category Manager, learning about merchandising functions and category management principles. Peter further advanced to become a Category Merchant, responsible for managing assigned categories and achieving sales and profit objectives.
Wynkoop then joined Advantage Sales & Marketing, where they served as a Business Development Manager, responsible for developing and increasing sales volume for clients. Peter worked with various regional customers in the West and Safeway Corporate, collaborating with different departments to drive successful sales outcomes.
After their time at Advantage Sales & Marketing, Wynkoop joined Unilever as a Customer Business Manager, overseeing key accounts at Safeway headquarters. Peter drove sales, ROI, and share through trade execution and innovative program design.
Wynkoop's next role was at Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, where they initially served as the Team Leader West in the Grocery Division. Peter led a team of Sales Analysts and Account Managers, achieving sales budget and delivering company objectives. Peter then advanced to become the Director of Sales, specializing in the Specialty Channel and Exports. Peter led the strategic development of Ghirardelli's business with specialty retailers, airports, and international markets.
Currently, Wynkoop is working at La Tourangelle as the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Their responsibilities include leading the sales team for the Americas, designing sales strategies, and fostering a positive workplace culture within the sales organization.
Peter Wynkoop attended California State University-Sacramento from 2000 to 2003. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a focus on Marketing. Additionally, they obtained a second Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a specialization in General Management.
