Kate Hassey is a dedicated educator currently serving as an MYP Humanities Teacher at La Scuola International School since November 2022, teaching Individuals and Societies and English Literature and Language to grade 6 and 7 scholars. Hassey has designed collaborative and inquiry-based unit plans that align with IB standards, emphasizing thematic concepts and student engagement through community action. Previous experiences include a Student Teacher role at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, where Hassey taught AP Government, and an English Second Language Teacher position in Spain, implementing project-based curricula for over 65 students. With a strong foundation in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University, Hassey has also held various roles that blend education with community service and policy analysis, including positions at City Year and The Bridgespan Group.
