Sylvia Williams has extensive work experience in various healthcare settings. Sylvia began their career in 1982 as a staff nurse at Rush - St. Luke Medical Center. Sylvia then moved on to LaRabida Children's Hospital, where they worked as a Nurse Manager in the Adolescent Unit for 15 years. Following this, they worked as a Certified School Nurse at SPEED District 802 for nine years. In 2007, they became an Education Coordinator at LaRabida Children's Hospital and later served as the Director of Education/Inpatient Nursing Service. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at West Suburban College of Nursing. Throughout their roles, Sylvia has demonstrated skills in budget management, staff recruitment and development, case management, and enforcing hospital policies and procedures.
Sylvia Williams holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nursing from Rush University. Sylvia also possesses a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nursing from Governors State University. In addition to their academic achievements, Sylvia has certifications in CPR and is an instructor certified by Training Concepts, Inc. Sylvia also has a certification in Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS).
