Alex Messersmith has extensive experience in municipal finance and customer service, currently serving as Account Technician III for the City of La Mirada since May 2015. Responsibilities include managing payroll functions and reporting requirements, as well as completing technical tasks for full payroll cycles. Previous positions within the City include Account Technician I and Finance Administrative Clerk, where duties ranged from technical and administrative support to accounts payable and vendor account reconciliation. Alex also has hospitality experience as a Guest Service Agent at Jamaica Bay Inn and as a PBX Operator/Reservations Agent at The Anaheim Hotel. Academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Finance) and ongoing studies towards a Master of Public Administration at California State University, Fullerton.
