Priyanka Saminathan, Ph.D., is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in microbiology and immunology. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology since March 2021, Priyanka previously completed a Ph.D. at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where research focused on the multi-kinase MLK-3 inhibitor and its effects on progressive multiple sclerosis, resulting in one published manuscript and two additional manuscripts in development. Prior work includes research on HIV and Cryptococcus neoformans co-infection at the University at Buffalo and various teaching and research roles at institutions including The University of Edinburgh and the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences. With a strong educational background, including master's degrees from the University at Buffalo and The University of Edinburgh, as well as a bachelor's degree from Vellore Institute of Technology, Priyanka has developed expertise in multiple aspects of microbiology and immunology.
