Benjamin J. Schmiedel is a seasoned professional in the field of biochemistry and immunology, currently serving as a Research Assistant Professor, Instructor, and former Postdoctoral Researcher at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology since July 2012. Prior to this role, Benjamin Schmiedel held positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Student at the Hospital of the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen from May 2007 to June 2012. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from the University of Tübingen (2007-2011) and a Diploma in Biochemistry from the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg (2001-2007), as well as completing the Abitur at Gymnasium 'Alexander von Humboldt' (1994-2000) and Gymnasium 'Friedrich Schiller' Zeulenroda (1992-1994).
