Their career in the hospitality industry began in 2009 when they joined Montage Hotels & Resorts as a Security Supervisor and Lead Investigator. Over the years, they took on increasing responsibilities, including roles as Security Manager, Security Director, and Director of Security. In these positions, they oversaw the safety and security of guests, associates, and visitors, managed security teams, and implemented safety protocols.

In 2015, Chris R. briefly served as the Chief Engineer at Montage International, where they were responsible for the maintenance and operation of the hotel and residential components.

They returned to Montage Hotels & Resorts in 2019 as the Director of Engineering and Security until 2022. In this role, they handled capital expenditure execution, managed budgets and expenses, and collaborated with various entities, such as the City of Laguna Beach.

In 2022, Chris R. joined La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc. as the Director of Engineering, further showcasing their expertise in engineering and management.
