Mahfooz Akbari, E.I.T, is a Structural Designer at L.A. Fuess Partners since May 2023, with prior experience as a Structural EIT at UBS Engineering LLC from February 2021 to April 2023, where responsibilities included drafting and designing multifamily and single-family residential projects, ensuring compliance with design codes, and conducting field inspections. Akbari also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Arlington, where duties included grading and providing guidance to students. From September 2017 to March 2020, Akbari held the position of Superintendent to Project Manager at Vibrant Builder LLC, overseeing multi-million-dollar developments and managing vendor coordination. Previous roles include Field Technician/Inspector at Intertek-PSI, conducting construction material testing, and QA Technical Support Team Lead at the US Army Corps of Engineers, receiving recognition for outstanding contributions. Akbari holds a Master of Engineering in Structures and Applied Mechanics Engineering and a Master’s Certificate in Construction Management from The University of Texas at Arlington, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
