Bettsy Santana has extensive experience in healthcare project management and quality improvement. Currently serving as the Quality Improvement Manager and Project Manager at L.A. Care Health Plan since February 2012, Bettsy oversees HEDIS improvement projects related to Medicare Stars, Medi-Cal, and NCQA Accreditation. Prior to this, Bettsy worked as a Program Manager for the California Immunization Registry from June 2006 to February 2012, where responsibilities included coordinating system implementation and training to enhance provider engagement with the immunization registry. Earlier career experience includes a role as Program Coordinator at Children's Hospital Los Angeles from September 2003 to May 2006, focusing on developing health education curricula. Bettsy holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychobiology from Occidental College.
