Samkelisiwe Zulu has extensive experience in human resources and administration, primarily within government departments in KwaZulu-Natal. Currently serving as an HR Personnel Officer and Admin Assistant at the KZN Department of Sport and Recreation since December 2012, Samkelisiwe's responsibilities include selection and recruitment, training and development, and employee wellness initiatives. Prior to this role, Samkelisiwe worked as a Human Resources Officer at the KZN Department of Agriculture and as a Wellness Coordinator at KZN Age in Action, focusing on employee wellbeing and health management programs. Samkelisiwe began a career in employee assistance as a Practitioner at the KZN Department of Economic Development and Tourism. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Short Certificate in Employee Assistance from the University of Pretoria, as well as ongoing studies at the University of South Africa.
