Sushrut Kamerkar has extensive experience in the field of translational medicine and immuno-oncology. Sushrut currently works as the Associate Director of Translational Medicine at Kymera Therapeutics, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Codiak BioSciences, where they held multiple roles including Principal Scientist in Immuno-Oncology, Senior Scientist in Immuno Oncology and Preclinical Development, Scientist II in Immuno Oncology, and Scientist I in Oncology. Sushrut started their career at MD Anderson Cancer Center as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2012 to May 2017.
Sushrut Kamerkar earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cancer Biology from UT MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences during the period 2012-2017. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Biotechnology and Chemistry from the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 2008 to 2012, with a focus on Biological and Biomedical Sciences.
