Sunny Zhao has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sunny co-founded Kyligence in 2016 and continues to contribute to the company. Prior to that, they held various roles at The Apache Software Foundation, including Vice President and Co-Creator/Committer/PMC Member. At eBay, they worked as a Senior Product Manager from 2011 to 2016 and as a Business Intelligence Architect from 2011 to 2014. Before eBay, they were a Senior Sales Consultant at Actuate and held the role of Pre-Sales Manager & Product Manager at SolventoSOFT. Sunny has a strong background in technology and leadership roles.

Sunny Zhao completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Fudan University from 1991-1994. Following this, from 1995-1997, Sunny Zhao pursued a Master of International Business degree with a focus on Energy and Power Engineering at the University of California, Davis, specializing in Infrastructure Finance, Energy.
