Ana Galiano has a diverse work experience in the field of plant breeding and genetics. Ana is currently working at KWS Group as the Group Lead Double Haploids & Trait Integration maize. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Research Lead Double Haploids & Trait Integration in Maize at KWS Group. Ana also worked as a Scientist Trait Integration at KWS Group. Ana was a Doctoral candidate at the State Plant Breeding Institute at the University of Hohenheim. Ana was a Breeder's Academy trainee at KWS Group and provided research support for sunflower breeding at LIMAGRAIN. Ana gained experience as an intern in maize breeding at AgReliant Genetics, LLC and GROUPE LIMAGRAIN. Ana was a Soybeans Breeder Intern and a student researcher in nitrogen fertilizer at USP / ESALQ. Additionally, Ana worked as a Tomato Breeder Intern at Nunhems/Bayer and served as a Project Manager at ESALQ Jr. Consultoria. Ana also had a role as a Researcher in genetics at USP / ESALQ.

Ana Galiano completed their education with a Doctor of Agriculture degree in Agricultural and Horticultural Plant Breeding from the University of Hohenheim in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained an Engineer level master 2 degree in Development of Innovative Plant Breeding, Crop Production, and Integrated Pest Management from AgroParisTech in 2014. Ana also holds a Agronomist degree in Agronomia - Melhoramento Genético de Plantas from ESALQ/University of São Paulo, which they completed in 2014. Lastly, Ana Galiano attended South Aiken High School, where they completed 11th grade in 2008.
