Karina Nielsen Rios is a seasoned freelance textile designer with extensive experience in the textile industry, currently working with Kvadrat since January 2007. Notable projects include the launch of the Patio outdoor textile in Winter 2019, as well as showcasing a collection at Orgatec in Cologne in 2008. Apart from freelancing, Karina has been teaching since January 2010 at CFD and has served in various educational roles at institutions such as Skals Håndarbejdsskole and Væveskolen Greve. As the owner of rinaniel textile design, Karina specializes in textile design, industrial product design, and public commissions. Previous positions also include textile designer roles at Lanificio Bartolini Sestilio and Clerici Tessuto. Karina's educational background includes studying at Danmarks Designskole from 1995 to 2000 and a brief stint at Philadelphia University in 1998.
