Lea Kerschbaumer has a diverse work experience. They started their career at Verein GIN in September 2010 as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional and worked there until March 2021. In April 2021, Lea joined Bundesministerium Landesverteidigung as an intern at the PR department (Webteam) where they primarily focused on creating, migrating, and implementing the new website of the Austrian armed forces. They worked in a small team and were responsible for various tasks ranging from creating wireframes to evaluating and creating content. Lea's most recent role is at kununu where they started as a Junior UX Designer in December 2021 and later transitioned to the role of UX Designer in March 2023.

Lea Kerschbaumer's education history begins in 2005 when they attended Bundesinstitut für Sozialpädagogik Baden, where they obtained a degree in graduate social pedagogy. From 2010 to 2014, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna. Lea continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from 2014 to 2020. As part of their academic journey, they also had the opportunity to study abroad for an exchange year at Stockholm University in 2016-2017. Furthermore, from 2020 to 2022, Lea pursued a Master of Advanced Studies in User Experience Management at Fachhochschule Technikum Wien.
