Minoru Tanabe serves as the President and CEO of Kumon North America and South America since July 2022, and has been with Kumon North America since May 1998, fulfilling roles as President and General Manager. With extensive experience in international franchise operations, Minoru has contributed to Kumon's status as a leading global franchise, recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine and operating in 48 countries with approximately 30,000 franchisees. Prior roles include Assistant Branch Manager at Kumon Japan, where responsibilities included aiding in business development for the largest branch, and Assistant General Manager at Kumon Indonesia, focusing on local market expansion. Minoru's career began at Proctor & Gamble, where marketing experience was gained as a Brand Assistant and Assistant Brand Manager. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Doshisha University.
