Kevin Orr has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. In 2016, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of South Florida and an Intern at Forge 3D Printing Studio. At Forge 3D Printing Studio, they worked with a fellow intern to build, program, test, and calibrate a delta-style 3d printer and designed and programmed an art piece that conveys local tide levels, surf conditions, and wind conditions using a raspberry pi, stepper motors, and lots of wood. In 2017, they were a Software Engineer Intern at DigitalGlobe where they worked in a team of 5 to curate over 1 million geospatial images, then trained a convolutional neural network (CNN) to filter out images with undesirable features. Kevin also refactored and added features to an interactive, geospatial intelligence dashboard using Flask, Bootstrap, Leaflet, and d3. In 2018 and 2019, they were a Software Engineer Intern at Kudu Dynamics LLC. In 2019, they were also an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of South Florida where they researched the principled composition of security policies, contributed to and edited journal papers, and developed the formalization of a novel security specification language. Kevin also began development of the same formalization in Coq, a formal proof assistant. In 2020, they began working as a Software Engineer at Kudu Dynamics LLC.
Kevin Orr attended Freedom High School from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a high school degree. Kevin then attended the University of South Florida from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Kevin also holds a certification from EF Education First, the EFSET 75 Proficient (CEFR C2).
