Paul Sturgess is a Senior Software Engineer at Krystal since February 2023, contributing to the development of the Katapult public cloud hosting platform. Previously, Paul served as Tech Lead for Audience Engagement at Hopin, overseeing Stream chat integration and the notification center, leading a squad for a new product, and working with technologies such as React and Ruby on Rails. During tenure at Rail Europe, Paul led API integrations and mentored engineers, while also enhancing the booking system. Paul’s career began as a Senior Ruby on Rails and ReactJS developer at Kyan, where project leadership and engineering excellence were pivotal. Earlier roles included web development positions at Oxfordshire County Council and Symantec. Paul holds a B.Sc. in Business Information Technology from the University of Portsmouth.
