Rachel Roberson is an accomplished education professional with extensive experience in program management, curriculum development, and educator training. Currently serving as a Senior Program Manager for education content at KQED since July 2016, Rachel leads initiatives focused on media literacy and project-based learning for educators. Rachel has held various roles at KQED, including Program Manager for humanities professional learning and News Education Manager. Prior to joining KQED, Rachel worked as a Staff Training, Development, and Education Consultant, and held senior management positions at Reading Partners, where Rachel managed staff development and training for Americorps members. Rachel's career also includes teaching positions at KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters and the American Community School of Abu Dhabi, as well as foundational roles in establishing KIPP Bayview Academy. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University, a Master of Arts in Teaching Leadership from Saint Mary's College of California, and a California teaching credential from Mills College.
