James Records has a long and varied work experience, starting in 2012 as an Amenities Manager and Concierge at Kingsbury Plaza Residential Building for The Habitat Company. In 2013, they took on the role of Fundraising and Event Manager for CAM{Chicago}. In 2014, James became a Senior Account Executive for Echo Logistics. In 2016, they were an Event Captain for Bacon Fest & Dumpling Fest, where they instructed and supervised a team of volunteers, coordinated with catering and venue staff, and assisted vendors with all aspects of the festivals. In 2017, James was a Brand Ambassador for Sofar Sounds. In 2018, they were an Event Planner for J&L Catering. In 2020, they became an Account Manager for Compel Office Furniture and an Events Coordinator and Executive Assistant for Office Revolution. Currently, James is a Client Relations Executive for Kotis Design and a Business Development Lead for Feather.

James Records obtained their Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in International Film & Media Production from Loyola University Chicago between 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, they attended DeSmet High School from 2004 to 2008. In addition, they have obtained certifications from LinkedIn in Networking for Sales Professionals and Solution Sales in April 2022, as well as an Illinois Basset Certification.
