KangGeon Kim is a Principal Research Scientist at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) since July 2018, specializing in the development of classification algorithms and deep learning models for wearable robots and AI autonomous greenhouse control technology. Notable achievements include creating the "AIDBOT," an AI-based disinfection robot, and algorithms for object pose estimation. Prior to KIST, KangGeon Kim completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Southern California from 2013 to 2018, contributing to the JANUS project and developing advanced algorithms for face recognition. Earlier career experience includes a Research Scientist role at KIST from 2008 to 2013, focusing on humanoid robots and cognitive architectures.
