Peter Emmet

Senior Mechanical Engineer at Kopin

Peter Emmet has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Peter is currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Kopin Corporation, where they are the lead Mechanical Engineer for the Crew Served Weapon Sight program for Leonardo DRS.

Prior to this, Peter worked at GE Aviation for 8 years, starting in 2011 as a Lead Engineer - Mechanical Components. Peter was a part of the Lynn Turbofan/Turbojet Engineering group and was responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of Externals & Configurations hardware on F414/F404 engines. Peter also successfully certified fuel system hardware and bleed-air system hardware with the FAA for the CT7-2E1 engine used in the AugustaWestland AW-189 helicopter.

Before joining GE Aviation, Peter worked at Raytheon as a Systems and Integration & Test Engineer for the PATRIOT missile system. Peter also had a role at General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works as a Dynamic Analysis Engineer, where they were involved in shock hardening and qualification analysis for US Navy warships.

Peter Emmet attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
