Suminda Dissanayake has extensive work experience in the field of enterprise architecture and technology. Suminda began their career as a Lead Enterprise Architect at Wolters Kluwer in 2011 before joining Vodafone Global Enterprise as the Head of Integration Centre of Excellence. At Vodafone, they also served as the Global Senior Enterprise Architect, focusing on supply chain and logistics, digital, retail, and contact center domains. In 2016, Suminda joined Nationwide Building Society as the Principal Architect for Enterprise Integration. Suminda then worked as the Lead Channels Architect at Dixons Carphone and as a Senior Enterprise Architect at SSE plc. In 2019, Suminda became a Technology Lead at E.ON, and later transitioned to the role of Technology Strategist at Bakkavor in 2020. Currently, they serve as the Chief Architect at Konvergent Ltd and also works as an Enterprise Architecture Consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Suminda Dissanayake earned a Master's degree in Information Technology from Keele University from 2002 to 2004. They also have several additional certifications including A+ Certified Hardware Technician from CompTia, and various certifications from IBM such as IBM Certified Administrator and Instructor - WebSphere Application Server V5.1 and V6, IBM Certified Advance Systems Administrator - Lotus Domino Systems Administration V4.6, V5, V6 and V7, IBM Certified Advanced Systems Administrator (PCLP) Sametime V7.5, IBM Certified Application Developer - Lotus Domino Application Development V4.6, V5, V6 and V7, IBM Certified Instructor and System Administrator - Websphere Portal Server V6, and IBM Certified Instructor - Lotus Domino Application Development V4.6, V5, V6 and V7, among others. They are also a member of the British Computer Society (BCS) and the National Computer Centre UK, and have a Microsoft Certified Professional designation as well as a TOGAF 9 certified Architect designation from The Open Group.
