Bruno Broucker

Editor In Chief - Book Series "higher Education: Linking Research, Policy And Practice" at Brill

Bruno Broucker has a diverse work experience in the field of education and higher education research. Bruno is currently the Head of Education Office at the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Higher Education officer/expert at the same institute from March 2018 to June 2023. In addition, Bruno has been actively involved in various professional organizations and editorial boards. Bruno has served as the Chair of EAIR - The European Higher Education Society starting from November 2022 and is a Member of the Executive Committee EAIR since September 2018. Bruno is also a Member of the Editorial Board at Tertiary Education and Management since May 2021. Bruno has contributed significantly to the field of higher education through their role as Editor in Chief for the book series "Higher Education: Linking Research, Policy and Practice" at Brill since March 2020. Prior to their current positions, Bruno has held various teaching and research roles at KU Leuven, including Visiting Professor at the Public Governance Institute, Research Fellow at the Leuven Economics of Education Research, and Assistant Professor at the Public Governance Institute. Bruno has also worked as a Senior Researcher, Higher Education Policy advisor, and Researcher at KU Leuven Public Governance Institute. Bruno's expertise and contributions extend to multiple research projects, educational coordination, and lecturing in their areas of specialization.

Bruno Broucker has an extensive educational background in the field of Social Sciences. Bruno obtained their PhD. degree from KU Leuven, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. Prior to their doctoral studies, they completed a Master's degree in Sociology, with a focus on Social Policy, from KU Leuven, spanning from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, they also pursued a Master's degree in Public Management from KU Leuven, which they completed from 2003 to 2004.
