Edmond Verstraete began their work experience in 1987 at PwC Nederland, where they worked as an Accountant for almost 30 years until 2016. In 2008, they also began working for an unnamed company, where they held a position until 2016. From 2009 to 2015, Verstraete worked as an auditor at PwC. In 2016, they joined Boskalis as the Finance Director Group Control.

Edmond Verstraete attended Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a degree in Accountancy (RA). Prior to that, they attended HZ University of Applied Sciences from 1983 to 1987, which resulted in a bachelor's degree (be). Edmond'searliest education was at sint willibrord college from 1976 to 1982, although no degree or field of study is specified.
