Kai Arrowood has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. They currently hold the position of Senior Software Engineer at Kong Inc., where they began in July 2020. Before that, they spent several years at IBM, working as a Software Developer from January 2017 to July 2020, and from July 2012 to January 2017. They also worked as a Summer Intern - Software Developer at IBM in 2011 and 2009. Additionally, Kai worked as a Graduate Student Instructor at Appalachian State University from August 2009 to May 2012, and as a Computer Science Tutor from August 2008 to May 2009. They gained further experience as a Summer Intern - Quality Assurance (Automation) at NetApp from May 2007 to August 2008, and as an Instructional Assistant at Appalachian State University from August 2007 to May 2008.

Kai Arrowood holds a Master of Computer Science degree from Appalachian State University, which was obtained from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, Kai completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, and Sociology from the same university from 2004 to 2009.

Additionally, Kai has obtained several certifications, including IBM Carbon Design System Developer Essentials - Vue from IBM in August 2020, FSD Front-end Development: Testing Tools and Router Configuration from Skillsoft in June 2020, IBM Automation Essentials and Watson Discovery Foundations from IBM in May 2020, IBM Blockchain Essentials V2 from IBM in April 2020, Security and Privacy by Design Foundations from IBM in January 2020, IBM New Collar Professional Skills and IBM Patent and Invention Program Plateau from IBM in December and November 2019 respectively. Furthermore, Kai has achieved the Customer Engagement Career Fit Achievement certification from MyInnerGenius in September 2019, IBM Carbon Design System Developer Essentials - React from IBM in September 2019, and Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM in November 2018. The earliest certification obtained by Kai was the First Patent File from IBM in October 2018.
