John Fitzpatrick has over 30 years of work experience in various roles, primarily focusing on curriculum development, training, and education. John is currently working as a Principal Curriculum Developer at Kong Inc. since an unspecified date. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Curriculum Developer at Kong Inc. starting in May 2021.

Before their time at Kong Inc., John worked at Sysdig as an Education Lead from May 2019 to May 2021. John Fitzpatrick completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business & Law at Ulster University from 1990 to 1991. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1990, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Maths & Computer Science at Queen's University Belfast. Before attending university, from 1979 to 1986, John Fitzpatrick studied at St Patricks High School in Downpatrick. John also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Maths and Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast from 1987 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications such as a Kong Gateway Certified Associate from Kong Inc. in May 2022 and a Certified Chef Developer from Chef Software in August 2017.
