Paul Sverre Siljan Tharaldsen

Paul Sverre Siljan Tharaldsen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international development and foreign affairs. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs since September 2015, Tharaldsen's primary responsibilities include engagements with the Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, and the Green Climate Fund. Prior to this, Tharaldsen held the position of Head of Norsk Tjenestemannslag, the largest union at the Ministry, from February 2018 to February 2021. Tharaldsen's prior roles include serving as a Senior Adviser and Adviser to the Executive Director at The World Bank from July 2012 to August 2015, alongside various positions at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Norad from 2001 to 2012. Educational background includes a degree from the University of Bergen obtained between 1995 and 2000.
