Katie O'Brien is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in various HR roles across multiple industries. Since March 2021, Katie has served as General Manager of Human Resources at Komatsu UK Ltd. Previously, Katie spent over a decade at AkzoNobel, where responsibilities included HR Manager for Integrated Supply Chain in the UK and Ireland, and HR Business Partner for Protective Coatings across Europe. Throughout the career, Katie has developed expertise in recruitment, learning and development, performance management, talent management, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement. Earlier roles include recruitment consultancy at Nigel Wright Consultancy and HR assistant positions at Sage (UK) and RIBA. Katie holds a BA in Philosophical Studies from Newcastle University, attained in 2005.
