Liang Zhai is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in ultrasound imaging technology. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Kolo Medical since April 2018, Liang Zhai focuses on innovating ultrasound imaging through CMUT technology. Prior to this role, Liang Zhai worked as a Senior Imaging Systems Architect at GE ABUS, leading the research and development of ultrasound breast imaging products. At Siemens Healthcare, Liang Zhai held multiple positions, including Sr. Staff Scientist, where responsibilities included imaging algorithms and system architecture, and Staff Systems Engineer, focusing on image optimization and technological innovation. Liang Zhai's career also includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Duke University, contributing to cancer detection research through advanced imaging techniques. Liang Zhai holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
