Steven Wooton has over 10 years of experience in the information technology field. Steven began their career in 2008 as a Help Desk Technician at Gloucester County Special Services School District. Steven then worked as a Service Desk Technician at Apex IT Group in 2010, a Help Desk Technician at Sun National Bank in 2011, and a Help Desk Technician at Talley Management Group, Inc. in 2009. In 2012, they began working at Kokua Technologies as a Project Engineer, where they performed migrations of servers, email, networks, and various other systems, as well as incidence response as a Tier 3 escalation engineer for day-to-day client-facing service tickets. Steven was then promoted to Project Director, where they were responsible for Cisco large-scale project implementations through Cisco Gold Partner (DynTek) for Fortune 500 companies and city/township public school districts. Steven also designed and implemented a multi-tenant public cloud Desktop-as-a-service platform. In 2019, Steven began working at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals as a Principal Information Technology Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for Cisco DNA Center deployment from the ground up for 3,000 switches/routers, full template roll-out using Velocity scripting to accelerate enterprise-wide end-to-end QoS initiative, and custom DNAC Python API library for automation built and managed in GitHub. Steven also was responsible for network configuration and deployment for two new 7-floor hospital patient towers, Nexus core migration for partner hospital, ONS fiber ring migration, VeloCloud by VMware implementation, upgrades and updates to the network including IOS code, ISE, SNMP monitoring, security remediations, etc., and triage, diagnosis, and resolution for day-to-day incidents with their team as well as other network and server teams.
Steven Wooton has attended Rowan College at Gloucester County, Gloucester County Institute of Technology, and Rowan University. In addition, they have obtained multiple certifications from various institutions, including Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, and CompTIA. Steven'smost recent certification is CCIE: Enterprise Infrastructure from Cisco, obtained in October 2022. Other certifications include VCP-NV 2020 from VMware, MCSE: Server Infrastructure and MCSA: Windows Server 2012 from Microsoft, CompTIA A+ from CompTIA, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco, Cisco Certified Network Professional Data Center (CCNP DC) from Cisco, Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise (CCNP Enterprise) from Cisco, and Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) from Cisco, obtained in November 2021, October 2020, January 2013, January 2013, May 2009, February 2014, and September 2020, respectively.
