Steve Gerbino has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Steve is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Koinos Group, where they are responsible for developing the company's technology strategy, ensuring efficient and secure use of technologies, and implementing new systems and infrastructure. Prior to this, they worked as the Co-founder and Blockchain Architect at Koinos Group, where they created the Koinos Blockchain Framework and engineered microservices supporting the Koinos Blockchain.

Before joining Koinos Group, Steve worked as a Blockchain Engineer at Steemit, where they engineered features for the Steem blockchain, resolved security vulnerabilities, and enhanced server node performance.

Steve also has experience working at Openlink Financial, where they held multiple roles. As a Senior Software Developer, they worked on Openlink's flagship Transaction Lifecycle Management system, providing software enhancements and troubleshooting application issues. In their role as a Software Developer, they developed core interfaces and plugins to support mobile application interoperability. And as an Associate Software Developer, they supported commodity trading business logic and developed enhancements for the scripting API.

To start their career, Steve worked as a Web Developer at The Public Relations and Marketing Group (PRMG). Here, they developed software using popular content management systems such as Drupal, Joomla, and WordPress. Steve also collaborated with clients to define project scope and requirements.

Steve Gerbino attended Nassau Community College from 2005 to 2008, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Following that, they enrolled at Farmingdale State College from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Programming & Information Systems.
