Filip Salomonsson has worked in the tech industry since 1996. Filip began their career as a web developer at Interactive Production AB, where they were the only full-time developer and was with the company through a growth to 10-15 employees. Filip also worked as a web developer at Slowsoft AB, where they primarily worked as a full-time contractor on Skunk, Sweden's largest social networking community at the time. In 2002, they moved to Rotor Interactive AB as a web developer. From 2005-2009, they were a project assistant and lecturer at Uppsala University, where they proposed and developed a class in Python programming for computational linguists and corpus linguistics and taught various classes in computational linguistics/language technology and Python programming. In 2010, they became a Frontend Developer at Cartomapic. From 2012-2022, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, SaaS APM / Pingdom at SolarWinds, where they were a backend-focused developer working with Python/Go/PHP/JS, a little bit of well-placed C, and whatever else happened to crop up. Finally, they are currently a Software Engineer at Kognity.

Filip Salomonsson attended Uppsala University from 2002 to 2007, studying Computational Linguistics. In 2012, they obtained a Rubber Duck certification from the Rubber Duckie Association of Northern Europe in July. Filip is also a Certified ScrumMaster®.
