Luis F. is an experienced AI Team Lead at Kognia Sports Intelligence since March 2019, overseeing a team of eight researchers specializing in the automatic analysis of soccer matches. Previous roles include Senior Research Scientist and Team Lead, where contributions involved the development of a computer vision library and algorithms using deep learning and traditional methods. At Kornia, Luis serves as a Core Contributor and Mentor, furthering expertise in computer vision, while prior positions include Research Scientist at Catchoom and a researcher at both IRI and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, focusing on object detection, camera pose estimation, and deformable object tracking. Luis co-founded Mobigenium SL, developing object recognition applications, and holds multiple degrees in Computer Vision and Computer Science from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, complemented by a Master’s from EOI Business School.
