JR Escalante has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They started their career in 2012 as a Field Organizer for Organizing for America-North Carolina, where they built and trained teams for canvassing and cold calling. In 2013, they joined Dell as a Bilingual Inside Product Specialist, managing accounts and leading the sales cycle for backup and disaster recovery solutions.

In 2014, they worked as a Marketing Specialist at LivingSocial before pursuing a Masters in Marketing at the Escuela de Postgrado de la Facultad de Economía y Negocios de la Universidad de Chile from 2016 to 2017.

From 2015 to 2018, JR Escalante served as a Volunteer English Teaching Assistant for The Chilean Ministry of Education - English Opens Doors Program, teaching English in underserved communities and participating in English summer camps.

In 2018, Escalante joined Uber as a Ubereats Mid-Market Account Executive, expanding business and managing relationships with strategic partners. They then moved to Uber Freight in 2019 as a Customer Success Lead, responsible for managing and growing the Pepsi Logistics account.

From 2020 to 2021, they worked at Cornershop by Uber as an Account Executive, acquiring new business and growing revenue for SMB accounts through outbound cold outreach. Most recently, JR Escalante joined Koddi in 2021 as an Account Manager.

JR Escalante's education history begins in 2007 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish Language and Literature. During their time at the university, they also completed a minor in History with a focus on Peace, War, and Defense. JR successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2011.

Continuing their education, JR Escalante then pursued a Master's degree in Marketing/Marketing Management at Universidad de Chile from 2016 to 2017.
