Erin Kitsos has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Erin started their career in 2008 as an HIM Specialist II at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Over the years, they held various roles including Release of Information Specialist, Release of Information Coordinator, HIM IS Support Analyst, and finally became the Release of Information and HIM Support Services Manager in 2015. Erin worked in this role until 2022.

In 2022, Erin joined Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine as the Director, Health Information Management & Privacy Liaison. In 2023, they were promoted to the role of Director of Clinical Informatics/Behavioral Health Division, indicating their expertise in informatics and healthcare management.

Erin Kitsos has a HIMT Certificate in Health Information/Medical Records Administration/Administrator from Columbus State Community College. In addition, they obtained a certification in Release of Information from Epic in 2015.
