Jordan Tyo is a dedicated science educator currently teaching at Northwood High School since August 2022 and serving as a Teaching Fellow with the Knowles Teacher Initiative. Prior experience includes a role as a Student Teacher at Woodside High School, where co-planning and instruction focused on 10th-grade chemistry. Jordan conducted research as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Shultz Group, contributing to the development of graduate teaching assistants' pedagogical skills. Additionally, tutoring experience at the University of Michigan covered various subjects, including physics and oceanography, while participation in programs like the Michigan Math and Science Scholars Program highlighted mentoring and community-building efforts. Jordan holds a Master of Arts in Education from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Environmental Sciences from the University of Michigan.
