Lanie Carmelo is an experienced usability and accessibility tester with a strong background in software engineering and business management. Since February 2016, Lanie has worked at uTest and Test IO, collaborating with developers to assess the accessibility of software using assistive technology. Additionally, Lanie serves as an accessibility tester for Knowbility's AccessWorks program since October 2021. Lanie's earlier experience includes proofreading Braille materials for Read Naturally from 2009 to 2012. Lanie holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Business Management, as well as certifications in Responsive Web Design and JavaScript Algorithms from freeCodeCamp.
