Chen Zhu has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2011 with Mechanical Engineering at Christie Digital Systems. In the same year, they were an R&D Team Intern at Nanometrics Seismological Instruments. In 2012, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Reputation.com. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Google Shopping Operations Specialist at Google, and then a Team Lead for the same role at Vaco. Most recently, they have been VP of Engineering at Kniterate since 2017.

Chen Zhu attended the University of Waterloo from 2008 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering.
