Henry Won is an experienced aerospace engineer with a focus on unmanned aircraft design and development. henry is currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Knightwerx, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to joining Knightwerx, Henry served as the Chief Engineer and Owner of Bopter Aerospace, where they specialized in helping companies design, develop, and improve their unmanned aircraft from concept to production. Henry also worked as an Aerospace and Controls Engineer at Zone 5 Technologies from September 2019 to May 2020. Before that, they were an Elevate Aircraft Design Engineer at Uber from February 2018 to May 2019. Henry's extensive experience in the field began at AeroVironment in April 2009, where they held various roles including Aeromechanical Engineer, Senior Staff, Chief Engineer of VTOL Aircraft, and GCS Product Manager for Commercial. henry'swork at AeroVironment involved the design, testing, and analysis of unmanned, electric, and hybrid aircraft, with a specialization in VTOL/rotary, fixed wing, and transitioning aircraft. henry also had expertise in multi-disciplinary design optimization, performance analysis, and trade space development.
Henry Won began their education journey in 1998 when they enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics. henry dedicated three years to their undergraduate studies before moving on to the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2001. There, they focused on Aerospace Engineering and successfully obtained a Master's degree in the field. This two-year program culminated in 2003. Building on their achievements, Henry continued their academic journey at the same institution, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Aerospace Engineering. henry invested five years in this rigorous program, which concluded in 2008. Thus, Henry Won possesses a solid educational background, consisting of a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Doctorate in the same field from the same institution.
