Mercedes Soria, MS, MBA, PMP has held numerous roles since 2013. Mercedes began their career at Knightscope, where they served as EVP of Software Engineering, Chief Intelligence Officer, VP Software Engineering, Director Software Engineering, and Director of Information Technology, PMP. In 2014, they joined PMI Silicon Valley as Director Leadership Programs. In 2016, they joined TechWomen as Executive Advisor, and in 2017 they joined Solve24 as Executive Advisor. In 2018, they became an Official Member/ Contributor at Forbes Technology Council. In 2019, they were selected for U.S. Speaker Program at the U.S. Department of State. In 2020, they became an Advisory Board Member at Autobound.ai and a Founding Member, CHIEF at Chief. In 2021, they were appointed Co-Chair of 50/50 Women on Boards.
Mercedes Soria holds a BS-MS degree in Computer Science from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) which they obtained between 1994 and 1998. Mercedes also holds an MBA from Emory University which they obtained between 2008 and 2010, specializing in Global Leadership, Strategy, Finance and Entrepreneurship. In 2004-2005, they attended Harvard University and obtained a Management & Leadership Essentials from Harvard Business School. In 2017, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management to study Artificial Intelligence. Mercedes also attended Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management to study Finance, Accounting and Innovation. Additionally, Mercedes Soria holds certifications such as a Google Analytics Certificate from Google (obtained in 2014), a PMP from Project Management Institute (obtained in 2013), a Microsoft Certified Professional, and a Six Sigma.
