Ferdi McDermott has extensive experience in education, currently serving as the Headmaster of Chavagnes International College since 2002, which prepares boys aged 11-18 for university entry globally. In addition, Ferdi McDermott has been a Lecturer at ICES - Institut catholique de Vendée since September 2022 and a long-standing member of the Knights of St Columba since 1989. Ferdi McDermott also served as a Publisher at Saint Austin Press from 1996 to 2011. Educational qualifications include a MA Hons in Celtic, Scandinavian, and French from The University of Edinburgh, alongside Doctor of Education and Master of Education degrees from the University of Buckingham, as well as a PGCE in Education.
