Bas Bloem is a distinguished Professor of Neurology at Radboud UMC, with a specialization in movement disorders, and has been contributing to the field since August 2001. Currently, Bas serves as a member of KNAW - Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen and is a fellow at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and member of Academia Europaea. Bas Bloem is also the book author of "Ending Parkinson’s Disease" and co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Parkinson's Disease. Additional roles include membership on the board of ParkinsonNet and past board membership on the Executive Scientific Advisory Board of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Bas Bloem's academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine degree from Leiden University.
