Tamela Austin is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in process improvement and manufacturing engineering. Currently serving as Process Engineering Manager at Knauf Insulation North America since May 2017, Tamela focuses on continuous improvement and equipment design enhancements to elevate production capabilities and quality standards. Prior to this role, Tamela was Continuous Improvement/Asset Manager at Briggs & Stratton Corporation, where responsibilities included coordinating Lean kaizen events, employee training, and project management. Additional experience includes positions at Master Lock Corporation as a Manufacturing Engineer, Lithonia Lighting as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, and Hughes Georgia, Inc. as a Project Engineer. Tamela holds a Master's degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University, along with Professional Engineer licenses in Alabama and Georgia.
