Jorge Baez has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Jorge started their career as an Intern at Maple Oil Tools SAS in 2012 and continued working there as a Sales & Applications Engineer until 2017. In this role, they designed well completions, sand controls, and workovers, led a team, and provided customer support.
Later, they joined Thru Tubing Solutions as a Latin America District Engineer from 2017 to 2020. In this position, Jorge provided 24/7 support for well intervention jobs across Latin America, designed well intervention jobs, and prepared technical-economical proposals for different companies.
From 2013 to 2017, Jorge worked at Maple Oil Tools SAS as a Sales & Applications Engineer, where they designed well completions and interventions, managed a team, and provided customer support.
Before that, Jorge worked as a Junior Petroleum Engineer at Oxy in 2013. Jorge also gained experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Oklahoma from 2010 to 2012, where they coordinated field operations and conducted research. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant during the same period, performing review classes and keeping track of grades.
Most recently, Jorge joined MicroSilicon Inc in 2021 as a Field Support Engineer. Jorge deployed the first-ever in-line IoT Asphaltene sensor in the Gulf of Mexico and provided support for field operations and maintenance of IoT devices in the Middle East.
Jorge's current work experience is as a Thru Tubing Engineer at KLX Energy Services since 2022, where they are involved in well intervention and district engineering.
Jorge Baez completed their education in the field of Petroleum Engineering. Jorge earned a Bachelor's degree from Universidad Industrial de Santander, where they attended from 2005 to 2010. Following this, they pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, from 2010 to 2012.
