Pete Nischt

Vice President, Compliance and Communications at Klutch Cannabis

Pete Nischt has had a diverse range of roles and responsibilities throughout their work experience. Pete began their career as the Executive Director and Deputy Treasurer for the Summit County Democratic Party from May 2014 to January 2017. Following this, they served as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Civil and Tax Division at the Summit County Prosecutor's Office from January 2017 to January 2019.

In 2019, Pete joined Calyx Peak Companies as the Chief Compliance & Communications Director and Attorney for Ohio, a role they held until April 2020. Pete then transitioned to Klutch Cannabis, where they took on the position of Chief Compliance and Communications Director; Attorney from April 2020 to March 2022. During their time at Klutch Cannabis, they also served as the Vice President of Compliance and Communications from March 2022 onwards.

In addition to their work at Klutch Cannabis, Pete also held a role at The Citizen by Klutch as the Vice President of Compliance and Communications starting in May 2021.

Overall, Pete Nischt has accumulated extensive experience in compliance and communications roles, particularly within the cannabis industry. Pete has also demonstrated their legal expertise through their work as an attorney in various organizations.

Pete Nischt pursued their education at several institutions. From 2005 to 2010, they attended The University of Akron, where they earned an Honors BSBA degree in International Business. In 2007, they briefly studied Music Business and Music Publishing at Berklee College of Music. In 2009, they received further training in International Business at Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship. Continuing their academic journey, from 2010 to 2013, Pete attended both The University of Akron School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, and The University of Akron, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with an Interdisciplinary Concentration in Corporate Law, IP Law, and Public Policy.
