Niamh McGann

Product Manager at Klas

Niamh McGann has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Their most recent role is as a Family Carer at Family Carers Ireland, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Klas as a Software Test Engineer, focusing on testing and quality assurance for the Blackrock project using Scrum and Agile principles. Before Klas, they held the position of QA Automation Engineer at Ammeon. In 2017, they briefly worked as a Software (Automation) Engineer II at Logentries by Rapid7. Prior to that, Niamh worked at Openet in various engineering roles, including Advanced Engineer (Test), Senior Software Engineer (Test), and Test Engineer. They also have experience as a Consultant and Test Engineer at Accuris Networks, where they worked on telecommunications software testing, development of test plans and tools, and client training. Additionally, Niamh worked as a Python script developer at Anam Mobile and as a Temporary Library Assistant at Dublin City Council.

Niamh McGann started their education in 1995 at St. MacDara's Community College, where they completed their Junior and Leaving Certificates. Niamh then attended Technological University Dublin from 2001 to 2005, earning a BSc. degree in Applied Sciences & Computing.

In addition to their formal education, Niamh McGann has obtained several certifications. In 2012, they received the ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Level Certificate from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB). In 2015, they obtained the ISTQB Advanced Level Certificate (Test Analyst) from the same institution. In 2020, they participated in the Test & Quality Summit and earned the TestProject Ninja Tester Badge. Later that year, they attended the TestProject Next Level Python Testing Webinar. Most recently, in 2022, Niamh McGann obtained the A4Q Testing Summit certificate from the Alliance for Qualification (A4Q).
