David Berger has a strong background in data architecture and engineering. Currently, they are working at Klarna as a Lead Data Architect/Engineer, where they are involved in designing and building a new regulatory reporting solution. Prior to this, David worked at Klarna as a Lead Data Architect/Engineer, where they focused on web scraping and enabling Klarna as a payment method on various merchant websites.
Before their time at Klarna, David served as the Global Lead Cloud/Data Architect and Engineer at dentsu international, where they designed and built a global cloud hybrid, scalable Data Platform using Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Prior to that, David worked at Annalect as the Head of Data Architecture, EMEA, where they designed and built scalable cloud-based Data Architecture using AWS, GCS, Spark, EMR, Airflow, Presto, PostgreSQL.
David also gained experience working at companies such as Facebook, Guardian News & Media, Wipro, Lloyds Banking Group, Royal Bank of Canada, and BNP Paribas, where they held various roles related to data architecture, engineering, project management, business analysis, and performance tuning.
David Berger attended DMT Business School from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bsc degree in Industrial & Electronic Engineering. Before that, they studied at Marie Curie Gymnasium from 1985 to 1991, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the TOGAF 9 Level 2 certification from The Open Group in March 2013, as well as the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification from APMG-International in the same month and year.
